Yesterday’s result was a massive disappointment. Of course it was.

Talk of the treble had gripped the Celtic support and it was easy to get carried away with that considering where the club came from at the start of the season.

But as the post mortem continues and the Celtic fans lick their wounds, Chris Sutton has pointed the finger at FOUR Hoops players he believes should take a look at themselves after yesterdays cup exit.

Speaking in his column in the Daily Record, Sutton said, “The biggest disappointment was Celtic’s lack of creativity in the final third.

“There was more than enough talent on the park to hurt them but nobody took on the challenge.

“This team is all about being brave on the ball and quick with the passing but it never happened. Rangers smothered them and Celtic couldn’t get up the pitch.

“Tom Rogic has a good record against Rangers but was kept quiet.

“I would have expected more from Jota, Liel Abada and Reo Hatate as well.”

Almost half a team and we all know that to win these games and to win a Treble, you need to have at least eight players on it.

Eight players week in, week out to turn on the style and drive the team over the line to success.

Let’s hope that this comes as a wake up call to those players and Ange has them refocused for the weekend’s trip to Dingwall.
