Celtic fans aren’t impressed with Rangers manager Steven Gerrard after his latest comments calling for respect for Scottish referees.

Gerrard has been one of the biggest critics of match officials this season, aiming his ire at Willie Collum in particular after he sent off Daniel Candeias away to St Mirren.

The Ibrox boss dubbed the whistler ’embarrassing’, with Rangers calling into question Collum’s integrity in a later released statement.

Quite absurd then that the former Liverpool man would be in the media this week calling for referee respect, in the wake of criticism of John Beaton for his performance in the recent derby against Celtic.

That’s a rather short memory he has and he should either apologise for his comments earlier in the season or keep quiet when it comes to how fair it is or isn’t for Celtic to call the SFA into question.

Celtic supporters weren’t impressed with his comments and took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
