Celtic stormed to an impressive 4-2 victory at home to Hibernian on Sunday and while it was a day of celebration for supporters, there was one downside to the match – another injury to captain Scott Brown.
The veteran midfielder had missed the previous two matches against St Johnstone and RB Salzburg, so seeing him in the starting eleven was a bonus.
However, he had to be substituted off just 20 minutes into the match, with Brendan Rodgers confirming his post-match comments that he’s a major doubt for Thursday’s trip to Germany to face RB Leipzig.
The full extent of his injury won’t be known for a couple of days.
Losing him for the UEFA Europa League clash would be a blow to the Hoops, with Brown so important for these matches away in Europe.
Now 33, some fans are worried this could be the start of a period of niggling injuries that keep him out of the team consistently.
These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
As long as he's fit for the competitions we can win.

Hope Broony is OK for Europe, as players age the niggling injuries can increase, he's a fit guy so we hope not with him pic.twitter.com/keL05zb4Sp

Hope Broony's injury isn't too serious, concerned it could be a bad one…

So refreshing to watch. Tom and Jamesy combined amazingly well today again. Great to see Eddy score a brace (his 4th in three games). Only negative was Broony injury. Bring on Leipzig! Hail hail

We struggled a bit when broony went off tho….need to get someone in to replace him…allow for time to mould and bed in whoever it is

I hope we get broony fit for at least this season. Hope this is not the beginning of the end for him.
