The return of the Europa League is upon us, and for Celtic, it’s a huge game. The Hoops are still in with a chance of progressing past the group stage, but anything but a win against Rosenborg this evening will not be good enough.
Fortunately, we managed to beat them when we last met, and so provided that we’re up to a similar standard, we should still have enough to get what we need out of the game.
We’re now less than an hour from the fixture, and the team that Brendan Rodgers picked was always going to get people talking, and it’s fair to say that one selection from the boss has certainly done that.
Scott Sinclair has had an up and down season for Celtic, with the Englishman struggling for the fine form that made him such a popular man at Celtic Park.

Rodgers, though, has often kept the faith, and he’s done exactly that again for the tie this evening. Sinclair starts alongside James Forrest, Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard in the attack, and this hasn’t gone down too well with some fans online.
Though most are still optimistic about a good result, the inclusion of Sinclair has raised some eyebrows. See below…
Why does Sinclair still get a game?
