With the international break now in full swing, we are now starting to see Celtic’s array of talent all on show.

From Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor for Scotland, to Daizen Maeda for Japan.

But there was one exlusion from the Japan starting line up that left journalist Dan Orlowitz feeling very unhappy.

Reo Hatate.

Celtic’s dynamic midfielder didn’t even find himself named in the squad, never mind make the bench and Dan vented his anger on Twitter:

I’m pretty sure the Celtic fans will feel the complete opposite to Orlowitz as it means that one of our best players will be less at risk of injury.

In another piece of good news for the Hoops fans, Kyogo Furhashi only finds a place on the bench for the friendly against the USA.

Celtic have a history of being cursed by the international break as we tend to see some of our top players return with an injury.

Last season, Kyogo Furuhashi was crocked after appearing for Japan in a World Cup qualifier and this summer we saw Carl Starfelt succumb to injury whilst on duty with Sweden.

Although I do enjoy seeing our players represent their countries, with Celtic’s hectic upcoming October schedule, we can ill afford to see more additions being added to the treatment table.

It’s the dreaded international break. So take away the boredom and try our *BRAND NEW* quiz. Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
