Norwegian international defender Thomas Rogne has turned down a new contract at Celtic.

“We may go back to him with another offer but no guarantees on that” – Neil Lennon

The 22-year-old centre-back has made 62 appearances for the Parkhead club since arriving from Stabæk in February 2010.

“Rogne has been offered a contract but it has been refused,” Lennon told BBC Scotland. “We may go back to him with another offer but no guarantees on that.

“We don’t want it to fester on, we want a result one way or the other,” he added. “Thomas is a good player and we would like to keep him around.”

Meanwhile, Lennon plans discussions with winger Paddy McCourt over the next couple of months regarding his current deal that expires in the summer.
