Celtic manager Ronny Deila said he always had faith in his own ability after being shortlisted for the PFA Scotland manager of the year award.
“Hopefully I have shown I am capable of doing what they want me to do” – Ronny Deila |
The Norwegian is included alongside Aberdeen’s Derek McInnes, Inverness Caledonian Thistle boss John Hughes and Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson.
Delia experienced a difficult start having arrived from Stromsgodset last summer but has already won the League Cup and could soon be adding a league title.
“One of the reasons I came to Celtic is because I knew they had experienced leadership,” he told BBC Scotland. “The decision to bring me in was a very high risk decision to make.
“Hopefully I have shown I am capable of doing what they want me to do,” he continued. “The culture here is much different. It is much more result thinking here. The pressure is much harder.”
