Celtic have said goodbye to forward Scott Sinclair after it was announced that he has signed a two and a half year deal at Preston North End for an undisclosed fee as reported by the BBC Sport website.
⚡ It’s been beautiful, magical!
Thanks for the memories, @Scotty_Sinclair – and best of luck at @pnefc 🍀⚪ pic.twitter.com/7yQhyOFeqO

Sinclair has been on the fringes of the Celtic squad all season and has only made 7 appearances in total despite not being injured and with Neil Lennon having to put up with injuries to most of his front line at one point or another.
With 62 goals in 167 appearances in his time at Parkhead it’s safe to say that the Englishman made a telling contribution towards Celtic sweeping all before them towards the unprecedented “Treble Treble”.
He could easily have seen his contract out in Glasgow but it says a lot for a player when he is willing to take a pay cut to force through a move so that he can get back to playing regular football, Alex Neil has certainly picked up a bargain as his Preston side look to gain promotion to the Premier League.
Has Scott Sinclair been unfairly treated by Celtic?
Yes
No
Celtic fans took to Twitter as news of the announcement filtered through to show their support for Sinclair as he leaves with their best wishes with many feeling he was harshly treated in his final season.
Deserved so much more respect than he got this season, shame on you.

Absolutely disgusting what Lennon did to him. MJ and Morgan picked before him, having a laugh!

These fans felt that Sinclair deserved more playing time this year and they certainly weren’t in the minority, with many confused as to why he wasn’t playing more regularly given just how important he had been over the last few seasons.
