As per the BBC’s David Ornstein – via the Glasgow Evening Times’ transfer live blog at 1:58pm yesterday – Napoli have apparently moved ahead of Arsenal in the race for full-back Kieran Tierney.

The Scottish international remains our best player and is one that we want to keep for as long as possible, though we must admit that we know it is going to be tough.

Players like him deserve to play at the very highest level and though we have the Champions League, we do not have the same league as they do in England and Italy at the moment.

It will be a draw for him for sure, then, and if either party offers the right amount of money the Bhoys might be tempted to let him go – that is all conjecture at the moment though.

What is fact, apparently, though, is that the Naples side is now leading the race to sign him – and it remains to be seen whether they actually cross the finishing line.
