Tom English is a guy I cover quite a bit on here.
My job is to collate different content on Celtic Football Club and report on it or give my opinion on it.
How do I do that? Well, regular readers of the blog know but clearly Tom doesn’t.
I read and listen to pretty much every bit of mainstream media and fan media content there is to garner as much information being written or spoken about my club.
I then report on it or give my opinion on it as I see fit.
And Tom comments regularly on Celtic. Some with negative slant, some positive. Giving his opinion.
See how this works?
Yesterday I wrote and article about how he continued the media ambush, as I put it, on Carl Starfelt.
You can read about what he said about the big Swede on Monday nights Sportsound here, so I wrote a piece on it, giving my opinion. Tom didn’t like it.

And that is his prerogative. But my opinion remains the same. The media have been knocking him from day one.
The media ambush on Starfelt is ongoing, and it happened again on Monday nights Sportsound where the Tom and Michael Stewart even managed to discuss why Celtic didn’t look at Souttar to bring to the club in some desperate attempt to use the Hearts defender to beat Starfelt across the head with.
You know why Celtic didn’t look at Souttar? Because he isn’t good enough. And, in my opinion, he’s not any better than Starfelt.
Now, remember, Starfelt has been a mainstay in the heart of the Celtic defence right up until his injury at the start of November where the club had, and still do, maintain the best defensive record in the league.
Now here is my challenge to Tom. Just Google ‘Carl Starfelt’ and find one positive piece on him by the media.
Just one.
What you will see though is articles from the media saying ‘his time is up’, ‘answering critics’, ‘not good enough’ etc etc etc… and you will also find at least five or six from this site by certain pundits in the media who constantly use their platform to continually berate the defender.
What you will also find, though, is plenty of Celtic blogs, like mine, covering all the negative publicity that he is getting from, wait for it………the media.
And Tom claims I’m clickbait? Dear me.
When someone such as yourself talks about something it is in your”opinion. Blah blah blah.
If someone in the media does the same but wants it to look like a fact.
THEY CAN’T DIVULGE A SOURCE.

Exactly. And know what else? These journalists actually hate fan media because it holds them to account for the rubbish they spout about the club. HH
100% mate. The media get away with murder. They can write what they want but when blogging sites write, we have very strict rules to abide by and the first rule we are told to use is we must ALWAYS cite sources.
All these people with there negative talk about starfelt is not worth bothering about, if the maestro Ange plays him all the time that shows how good a player he is, soapy Souter has no allegence after hearts looking after him through his injuries.

Soapy Souter never has been or ever be Celtic quality.
He’s pretty average at best.
As for Tom English’s futile attempts to wind up Celtic supporters; laughable.
Keevins is just as bad . They need a whipping boy . Facts don’t matter to them , sadly some of our own fans swallow the rubbish the media spoon feeds them
English is a clown……..
He got me thinking (which is some achievement) when he made that pathetic statement about Daizen Maeda not doing much else in the Hibs game.
Why would anyone who watched DM live have said something as daft – given the game he had.
Then it dawned on me (:-0)….. English has made his analysis after watching Sportscene’s highlight show……
