With reports over the last couple of days suggesting attacking prospect Mikey Johnston could be set for a temporary Celtic exit this summer, plenty of supporters are in favour of him seeking regular first-team football elsewhere.
The latest comes from The Daily Record, who report that the Hoops are set to offer the winger to Hibs for the season as part of the deal that will see John McGinn come to Glasgow.
The paper say that two other Scottish Premiership sides, Aberdeen and St Mirren, are interested in taking him on a loan basis for the season.
Johnston has excited fans watching pre-season action this summer, most recently impressive in the 4-1 victory against Standard Liege at Celtic Park on Saturday.
He’s had a handful of exposure to competitive action in a Celtic shirt, but now 19 needs regular week-to-week football if he’s to continue his development and with competition fierce in Brendan Rodgers’ first team squad, he’s still not quite there.
Fans are supportive of such a move and have taken to Twitter to recent days to share their thoughts on it all…

I would loan him out personally, It did wonders for Ajer. I honestly think it would be the same for Johnston

Mikey Johnston looks really promising but I'd support him going on loan. He's not gonna get in ahead of Moussa or Eddy
