‘Donate his wage to charity’ – Many Celtic were left fuming by one of tonight’s worst performers

It was a very strange night at Celtic Park this evening, with Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops producing a poor performance against RB Salzburg before eventually progressing to the next stage of the UEFA Europa League anyway.

Many had predicted that Celtic would have to secure a draw to progress into the last 32 of the competition, but RB Leipzig slipped up at home to Norwegian strugglers Rosenborg, allowing the Hoops to book their place in the next round.

That’s despite a 2-1 defeat at home to Salzburg, who outclassed and outfought the Hoops throughout a tense 90 minutes in Paradise.

Obviously delighted to progress, many fans were left frustrated by the performance regardless.

Plenty of supporters are pointing the finger at Tom Rogic as one of the worst players on the pitch, frustrated with his work ethic and poor possession.

Fans expect more from the Aussie star and will be hoping he can pick up his form ahead of a tough remaining schedule in December.
