Duo head striker chase

Italian giants AC Milan and English champions Chelsea are reportedly leading the chase for prolific Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.

Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers is understandably keen to hold onto the free-scoring Frenchman for another season – and the Italian club’s initial £26m approach was unfavourably met.

However, Milan have since missed out on leading target, Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, who could instead join Manchester United in a £60m deal.

Dembele scored 32 goals in 49 games for the Scottish Champions last term, although a source close to Milan commented in the Sunday Post: “The big feeling here is that in May, we were in pole position to buy Dembele. But now Chelsea are the ones who are best placed to get him.”

Meanwhile, both Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be particularly interested in the former Fulham marksman.
