French media report exciting January transfer move

There’s never a day goes past when a transfer story doesn’t pop up about Celtic.

As Ange Postecoglou readies himself for the January window in less than six weeks time, the speculation will be coming thick and fast as the Celtic gaffer looks to strengthen the squad ahead of the league run in.

One position here at Vital Celtic wrote about this morning that needs to be addressed is the goalkeeping position.

With Joe Hart in outstanding form for the Hoops so far in his maiden season, what would Ange Postecoglou do if the unthinkable happened and Hart picked up an injury and/or suspension?

With Barkas looking likely to be on his way out, that would leave Hazard and Bain left as cover and both are clearly not fancied by the Celtic gaffer.

It looks like the answer to that question is on it’s way as French media outlet, Hommedumatch, report that the Hoops are looking at Stade Brestois keeper, Marco Bizot.

Bizot has reportedly found it difficult to settle in France and could be looking for a way out with the media source believing Celtic are looking to snap him up on a loan basis, but the relegation threatened Ligue 1 side would insist that an option to buy at the end of the season clause is to be added as they look to get him off the books permanently.

Bizot was purchased for £1m in the summer from AZ Alkmaar and has made thirteen appearances, conceding twenty one goals, although they are on a four game unbeaten run as they attempt to escape the dreaded drop zone.
