“Easily one of the weirdest and most embarrassing things I’ve seen” – Celtic fans rinse high profile SPFL incident

That Aberdeen fan that ran onto the pitch to get a selfie. What’s your thoughts on that?

My immediate thought was about the security of our players.

Especially after what has happened at grounds like Ibrox where Scott Brown was assaulted.

Tynecastle where a Hearts fan tried to attack Neil Lennon and at the same ground when a Hearts supporter aimed a punch at Scott Sinclair when he celebrated his first goal for Celtic in Brendan Rodgers first game as manager of Celtic.

The security of our players should always be of the utmost concern for us.

But as the dust settles and you can look at the video footage in the mind that no one was injured, just what was the point of it?

Why would a fan run onto the park and get a selfie with the oppositions player? That, speaking as a football fan, is a red neck.

I could never imagine running onto the park in the first place because I am not an idiot, but if I did, and it was at Pittodrie, my first thought wouldn’t be to grab Lewis Ferguson for a wee photo.

I would get laughed out of town and rightly so.

Just as this Aberdeen fan has done by these Celtic supporters:
