Odsonne Edouard remains a target for Arsenal according to a report in The Daily Record that has also revealed interest from another Premier League side.

The article is short on details but after stories emerged over the weekend that Paris Saint Germain are due 40% of any sale, the £40million fee that is being demanded by Celtic is likely to be close to the figure that the Gunners would have to pay.

Arsenal would obviously be an attractive proposition for the 22-year old given their status and some of the players already at the club, including former teammate Kieran Tierney, but the other team linked with a move for the striker – Brighton and Hove Albion – are not expected to provide competition either to the London based club or Celtic’s hopes of retaining his services for another season.

Neil Lennon has been far from happy over the last week with the attitude of some of his players, Edouard has been injured and unavailable for the last two games and Hoops fans will be hoping that it is nothing more than a minor strain rather than something that becomes more “problematic”.

Would you sell Edouard for £40m?

Albian Ajeti has taken to life in green and white like a duck to water with two goals in his first two games, despite not being fully match fit and up to speed yet, but the gaffer would still be loathe to lose his star man heading into the biggest season of his managerial career.
