BBC journalist Tom English has criticised Neil Lennon for his ‘over the top’ celebration at the end of today’s Celtic 1-0 win away to Dundee.

The Hoops manager ran towards the Celtic end at Dens Park after Odsonne Edouard netted an injury time winner to send his side ten points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

It’s a huge three points in advance of the derby against Steven Gerrard’s outfit at the end of the month and despite a poor performance edges us closer to an eighth title in a row.

Is that not reason enough for celebration?

English wasn’t happy with his first comment either, taking to Twitter later on to double down on his initial opinion and label Lennon ’embarrassing’.

Clearly celebrating a crucial win passionately is too much for some and I suppose we really shouldn’t be surprised.

I doubt they’ll be much more gracious when we lift the trophy in May either.

  • Did the same Tom English(that man from north of the Irish border) report or say anything when over three games sevco fans invaded the playing area, after they thought they had won the league three times, but not a word in the press from the scribes who support the ibrokes team. Get a life English, along with the rest of of you butcher’s apron pals.. Midden!

  • English is an embarrassment. Lennon is allowed to enjoy a last minute winner in a big title race.

Take a break Tom and chill out. As far as I know our fans did not invade the field.

  • On the subject of “touching nerves” it looks like tommy boy had his dissected.
His bigoted reporting is giving Celtic fans laughing time galore. You see silly little man, it isn’t about who you beat, it’s about playing until the end and making it pay off. Three points that will have wee tommy filling the vomit bucket.
Some facts on the six minutes added. It could have been more, and I do believe that six minutes was for both teams, not just Celtic. Had Dundee been able to get of that bus they parked, they may stolen an opportunity themselves, even scored! But when you park a bus, have players feign injury to run the clock down, you deserve what you get. Celtic were playing with no central defenders. Last point on it, there were seven added minutes at the sevco versus Kilmarnock yesterday. However I suspect that’s different. ????
