In one of his first interviews, Postecoglou said of the Celtic youth, “I’m a big believer that if you can produce homegrown talent and players that have come through the club, for the player himself there’s an extra meaning to representing that football club and even to the supporters, they see one of their own out there.

“The first step to that is making sure the talent is being produced and nurtured at the club. I want to get really involved in the academy process as well and see where they’re at.”

Well two players that seem to be on their way out of Glasgow are teenage sensations Leo Hjelde and Matthew Anderson.

Two kids labelled the next Virgil van Dijk and Kieran Tierney respectively, Celtic can ill afford to lose such talent as the first team suffers from lack of depth.

The Yorkshire Post reports that Leeds United are homing in on both players as they search Scotland for the best of its youth talent.

Leeds have a history of poaching Scottish youngsters as they already have already recruited Scotland Under 17 international Stuart McKinstry and Scotland Under 19 winger Liam McCarron into their Under 23s set-up.

Postecoglou should pull out all the stops to keep both of these outstanding talents at Celtic Park as clearly, they have outstanding futures ahead of them.
