Hull are believed to be interested in signing our midfielder Ryan Christie on a permanent basis.
The Daily Express (via the Scotsman) report the 23-year-old is a target for the Tigers in the summer, with the player’s contract running down into its final year.
Ryan has been performing very well since he was loaned out to Aberdeen 18 months ago, and Brendan has suggested that he would return to us in the summer to be part of the first team squad. Whether that will happen or not will likely depend on whether he will sign a new deal with us.
The Championship club are struggling, and are not exactly one of the wealthiest teams in the league either. We can offer the player Champions League football too so I can’t see Christie being tempted by the move if he is part of the manager’s future plans. It wouldn’t exactly be a glamour move for him you wouldn’t think!
