Celtic are on the brink of an eighth league title in a row after picking up another three points in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night.

Goals from Timo Weah and a returning Ryan Christie ensured a comfortable 2-0 win away to St Mirren, meaning we are just two victories away from securing the title.

Christie’s inclusion on the team sheet was something of a surprise considering his recent hamstring problems, but fans were delighted to see him in the match squad and even more ecstatic with Neil Lennon’s decision to give him game time in the second half.

The 24-year-old last played in Brendan Rodgers’ final match as manager against Motherwell and reminded everyone what we’ve been missing in his absence with a dynamic super sub appearance.

His ambitious running and close control gave us an effective weapon in the final third and his finish to put the game beyond doubt was sublime.

Hopefully Lennon understands he’ll be a massive player in the upcoming Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen and manages his fitness appropriately until then.
