According to the Scotsman, Lille are readying a £5 million bid for Jozo Simunovic. No, I can’t really believe it either.
The defender has been linked away from our club for a while now.
Not too long ago it looked as though he’d be heading to Italy but that, of course, hasn’t come to pass.
Now, then, it looks like France could be his next destination as Lille look to strengthen their defence with the young Croatian player.
For that price, too, I’d be inclined to accept.
The Verdict
He’s a young defender and will improve but I think it might be worth cashing in and trying to get better options right now.
We’ve got only a few defenders at the club at the moment but I think if this kind of bid comes in we should take the money and reinvest. What do you think? Let me know below in the comments!
