Everton on high alert as former Celtic Double Treble star set to ‘definitely leave’ club

Moussa Dembele in action for Celtic

When I look at this kind of news, it makes me want to cry.

Not because Moussa Dembele is set to become a free agent, but because a club down in England that don’t deserve him will end up snapping him up for free.

I genuinely believe that if we had the same kind of money to pay in wages as some of the smaller clubs in the EPL do Dembele would come back to Glasgow.

Dembele was a very popular figure amongst the Celtic fans during his three years at Paradise.

In 94 appearances for Celtic, the 26 year old scored 51 goals and created 16 assists.

He was prolific and also a steal at £600k.

After a glittering career at Celtic, £19m took Dembele to French side Lyon where his goal scoring rate remained impressive despite starting many of his games on the bench.

70 goals in 169 appearances cannot be sniffed at and yet, he still finds himself in an incredible situation where he is set to walk away from Lyon for free with Everton being tipped to land him. [Liverpool Echo]

If The Toffees do manage to sign Moussa I can guarantee them one thing.

With the big man up front for them, they will never need to worry about relegation again.

I will be leaving Vital Celtic tomorrow to join John McGinley and Hamish Carton on 67 Hail Hail from Monday the 27th of March.
