Celtic fans on Twitter are wary of Lazio’s threat at home ahead of the Europa League clash in Rome on Thursday.
We did magnificently well to come back from a goal down to beat the Italians 2-1 two weeks ago in front of our remarkable crowd, with goals from Ryan Christie and Christopher Jullien, whilst a vital stoppage-time save from Fraser Forster helped us to seal a famous victory.
However, it would be wrong to think that we will be able to walk into Rome without expecting a backlash from the Serie A outfit. Of course, Lazio will have been disappointed to have lost the game and will be looking to exact revenge as they look to remain within a chance of progressing to the next round of the Europa League.
However, perhaps, Celtic should have some confidence about getting a result in the Italian capital, as we are in some form and will be coming off the recent victory against Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup final at the weekend.
Indeed, it would appear a section of our fans on Twitter are less confident that we can repeat the same feat from a couple of weeks ago, especially with Lazio in better form having beat A.C. Milan away from home on Sunday.
Here are just some of their reactions…
I’d take a draw right now on Thursday. It would be a magnificent result but we are more than capable of beating them HH pic.twitter.com/qs3jwHEELk

I saw enough of them at Parkhead to fear them. Lazio are weird in the Europa League they don’t seem to fancy it too much but they can cause us real problems

They moved up to 4th in there league, they have one of the best home record in there league, I hope they are concentrating more on the league, if all our players are on form we can take something from the gamez it will be hard

I reckon they will go all out for the victory on Thursday, but that may not be a bad thing. We need to be careful and play a wise game. But a draw for us would be a great result.
