With the dust beginning to settle on tonight’s 2-0 victory over Ferencvaros this afternoon, Celtic haul themselves off the bottom of their Europa League group with a vital three points at Celtic Park.
But there was one special moment that had former Celtic striker, John Hartson, gushing in his post match analysis and it wasn’t that magical pass from Jota.
Speaking on BT Sports, Hartson said, “I thought it was an excellent performance. It could have been five or six today.
“Callum McGregor misses a penalty, it didn’t matter in the end.
“Kyogo’s goal was extraordinary.
“Unbelievable.
“It tells me he’s a top, top drawer centre forward. His touch, the pass from Jota, and you see the finish.
“To take it first time in the goalkeepers near post, it’s a wonder goal and that is a very, very special player we’re looking at there Kyogo.”
Kyogo continues to set the heather on fire at Celtic and draws all the plaudits as he continues his incredible scoring streak at Celtic.
With nine goals in thirteen appearances for the Hoops with three of those in the Europa League, the Japanese striker’s stock continues to rise as he proves his worth to the team not only domestically, but also on the European stage.
And it’s not just Kyogo’s prowess in front of goal that impresses.
His work rate for the team is second to none. His constant harrying of defenders and pressing the opposition high up the park helps to provide a solid defensive base for the team to build on.
Kyogo has the potential to be a legend at the club, if he’s not already on his way there!
