Celtic hero Fraser Forster said his side had one special ingredient that even the magnificent Barcelona couldn’t match.

“We had 60,000 fans tonight and they really were like a 12th man” – Fraser Forster

The 24-year-old goalkeeper made a number of terrific saves, including at least a couple from the great Lionel Messi, as the SPL champions sensationally came through as 2-1 winners at Celtic Park.

But he described the constant backing of the club’s incredible supporters throughout the entire contest as the really decisive factor.

“We’re all just delighted we got the result,” Forster told the Daily Record. “We didn’t get the luck we deserved in the Nou Camp, but we’re thrilled to get the job done tonight and pick up three points.

“I couldn’t really enjoy my saves in the Nou Camp because there was a lot of disappointment with losing it so late in the game. But it’s different for me tonight,” he added. “The noise was unbelievable and if I ever experience that noise again in my career I’ll be delighted. We had 60,000 fans tonight and they really were like a 12th man.”
