The Scottish Sun reported a rather surprising story over the weekend, that Jose Mourinho’s odds of becoming our new manager have been slashed.

We’ve seen some strange stories come about this season in the SPFL but this has to take the biscuit.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether Neil Lennon is going to take the job permanently but it seems safe to say that Jose won’t be taking over.

Of course, other names like Rafa Benitez have been linked – so it seems as though the board is going to be potentially ambitious – but that can only stretch so far.

Mourinho is a fantastic manager with a fine record – regardless of what happened at Manchester United – and having him at the club would guarantee trophies for sure.

However, it simply is not going to happen – I think we can all agree on that – and so it makes sense to forget all about this.
