Celtic midfielder Liam Henderson says he is really benefiting from the experience of working under new boss Ronny Deila.

“I’m sure I will improve if I keep listening to him” – Liam Henderson

The eighteen-year-old featured in the second-half of the opening 3-1 friendly victory against FK Krasnodar and reckons his fellow youngsters should similarly flourish under the Norwegian’s guidance.

“I’ve been taking everything he tells me on board and I’m sure I will improve if I keep listening to him,” Henderson told Celtic’s official website. “He’s been speaking to me about stuff I can do better and that’s been really good for my point of view, and he’s always involved on the training ground which is really good for all the boys.”

Goals from Anthony Stokes, Stefan Johansen and Callum McGregor ensured a winning start against their Russian opponents.
