Celtic fans were left drooling by the performance of defender Filip Benkovic on Saturday, after he not only helped his team to a clean sheet at home to Dundee, but also scored in the 3-0 win.
The Leicester City loanee has had a superb season in a Hoops shirt so far, contributing to 12 clean sheets in his 18 appearances for the club since joining in the summer.
The Hoops team look far more composed at the back when he’s starting and alongside Dedrcyk Boyata has formed a formidable partnership in the defensive line.
Supporters are dreading seeing him return to his parent club at the end of this season, with many now pleading for the club to put the money on the table that could secure his signature from the Premier League side.
That doesn’t appear to be very likely at this stage, although Christmas is a time for miracles isn’t it?
