Loads of Celtic fans are keen on the idea of appointing Jose Mourinho as Brendan Rodgers’ permanent replacement.
The Daily Mail reported this evening that the Hoops have made an offer to make him manager at the end of the season, with the the wages touted said to be competitive.
With Lyon and Roma also in the hunt though, say the paper, it remains a tall order to convince the former Real Madrid manager his future lies in Glasgow.
It hasn’t stopped fans dreaming of the blockbuster appointment though, with many feeling he could be exactly what we need to secure a ninth and tenth title in a row.
Neil Lennon has done an excellent job to steady the ship over the last couple of months as interim boss, but plenty are craving a big name manager to maintain the standards Rodgers set in his time here.

Give Lawwell a statue on the Celtic Way if we can pull off Mourinho

Sounds ambitious. If it's true then I guess that's a good sign that Celtic are trying to get the best manager and spend on players.

Met mourinho at a charity do once and he told me the pinnacle of his career would be sitting in the away dugout at the tony macaroni stadium on a wednesday night watching bits of plastic flying off the astroturf.
Could be a goer. 👍🏻

If this offer to Mourinho is true then it would at least show one thing that we've been needing to know: that Celtic will commit whatever's necessary to the next couple of seasons – two of the most important in the club's history.

Any Celtic fan claiming they don't want next season to comprise of Mourinho cupping his ear to the muted boos of 5000 Ross County fans after a beleaguered 1-0 win in Dingwall is lying. The patter potential is limitless.
