As regular as clockwork these reports aren’t they?

An English Premier League manager’s job becomes available and automatically the Scottish press link Ange Postecoglou to it.

It’s as boring as it is predictable and it doesn’t matter how many times these jobs become available, the Celtic manager is going nowhere.

Well, at least in my opinion he isn’t.

And why to a club like Leeds?

I’m going to bet that these sides that Ange is being linked to, their fans are going to be sick and tired of me looking like I am dissing their club.

Believe me, I am not. But Ange is more deserving of being linked with clubs that are facing a relegation battle.

First it was Brighton, then it was Everton and now it is Leeds.

And this time it is ex-England and Leeds United ‘keeper Paul Robinson urging his old club to go for the Celtic boss not that Jesse Marsch has been sacked.

As reported by The Sun, Robinson said, “I know there has been talk of Carlos Corberan at West Brom, but I personally would love to see Postecoglou come down from Celtic.

“They have to get somebody who hits the ground running.

“People talk about someone who knows the league inside out and know the players.

“But for me it has to be a man-manager.”

“I think it would be a very difficult time to get Postecoglou obviously, as it’s looking like they’re going to win the league again and another trophy for him up there.

“But I think of his man-management skills and the way he’s adapted himself to the Scottish Premier League and the trophies he’s won.

“He’s got Harry Kewell as his assistant up there, so there is a  link already.

“I think it’s only going to be a matter of time before he does come to the Premier League and I’d love to see Leeds push the boat out and go and get him now.”

The only thing Robinson has got correct here is that it will be very difficult for them to get Ange.

Our gaffer is building something special at Celtic and he’s getting the time and the backing of the board to do it.

Why risk trophies, European football and the adulation of 60,000 fans every week for a relegation battle in the EPL?

It just doesn’t make sense.

Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
