The Celtic fans were asking all week when they would see their new boy make his debut.
After a long summer transfer saga, Liam Scales was eventually signed from Shamrock Rovers for £500,000 and the Celtic fans loved what they saw on his debut last night.
The Hoops fans have a long wait and wondered when they would get glimpse of the Republic of Ireland u21 international.
When Ange Postecoglou gave Boli Bolingoli a surprising start against Livingston, he said Scales “wasn’t quite ready yet” and the Hoops fans had to wait again for a glimpse of their new boy in action.
On the 61st minute against Raith, Scales came on to replace Ajeti and the fans weren’t disappointed in what they saw.
Former Celtic winger Paddy McCourt took to twitter to show his support for his fellow countryman when he said, “Great to see Liam Scales make his competitive debut tonight for @CelticFC, positive & assured in his play “

And the reaction to the young Hoops defender’s debut, and McCourt’s tweet, was very positive from the Celtic fans.
Positive and assured from this happy Celtic fan:
Good player. Seen him play for Ireland U21's against Italy 2 years ago, he was a real stand out in that match. Positive and assured that night too.

‘He’ll excel’
Bhoy looks like he has an actual football brain which comes in handy when asked to perform as certain role, he’ll excel, save this tweet.

There is absolutely no doubt this young man will do well at Celtic and from what we witnessed last night he definitely looks the part.
But the proof will be in the pudding over the weekend. With the left back position up for grabs, it will be interesting to see if young Scales is given the nod on Sunday to face Dundee United in the SPFL.
