Ryan Christie has been one of our best players this season, and he’s duly been rewarded with the Player of the Month award for the Scottish Premiership. This is based on his performances throughout November, which was his best month yet.

He’s continued to make an impact into December, and we wouldn’t put it past him to go and win it again at the end of the month.

The attacker definitely deserves all of the credit he’s gotten, though, and now BT Sport pundit Chris Sutton has delivered his verdict on the award.

Taking to Twitter, he described Christie as a ‘great example to all young players’, before paying tribute to the youngster’s remarkable rise.

Of course, Christie was facing an uncertain future just a few months ago, having failed to break into the team at Celtic Park, but he’s really come of age this term.

He seems to be getting better with every passing week, and he’s certainly deserving of this award. Make no mistake, we’re a better team when he’s involved, and nobody would have guessed that at the start of the season.

Let’s hope his rise continues, and let’s hope more young players follow his example.
