Celtic are back on top of the table with a 4-1 victory over Hamilton Academical at the SuperSeal Stadium.

Scott Sinclair struck twice for the visitors ahead of the interval after Stuart Armstrong had already opened their account.

There was also a debut goal for newcomer Odsonne Edouard in the second-half before substitute Alex Gogic snatched a late consolation.

With Patrick Roberts back in their ranks having returned on loan from Manchester City, the visitors saw Sinclair fire straight at Gary Woods from an early James Forrest cross.

The Accies keeper also denied Callum McGregor, until Armstrong created space on seventeen minutes and curled the opening goal into the far corner.

That was added to on the half-hour when Edouard collected Jozo Suminovic’s through pass and Sinclair despatched a low finish.

And the former Aston Villa forward doubled his tally near to the interval when again racing into the area and converting after initially hitting the post.

Sinclair almost had a hat-trick while lifting Kieran Tierney’s long ball onto the roof of the net with an hour of the contest played – while also once more being denied by the woodwork.

However, new signing Edouard then exchanged passes with Roberts and slipped under Woods for his first goal in a Celtic shirt.

Substitute Gogic managed to head a late reply from a corner but the outcome was never in doubt.
