Hartson’s review of Lennon is telling. The Celtic boss has no intentions of walking

John Hartson’s column today gives Celtic fans the most telling insight yet that the gaffer will not walk away as long as he believes he is the right man to turn things around at the club.  Hartson was Lennon’s team mate during the Martin O’Neill era where they dominated domestically and reached the UEFA Cup Final in Seville in 2003.

Hartson has said the actions of the supporters last night “was unacceptable” but does concede that Lennon knows the standard of football being produced by his side is not good enough.

Where Hartson gives most insight about his mate is where he says, “I believe Neil, having been over the course so many times before, if the form continues to be bad and they continue to lose games and fall further behind.

That should make the Celtic fans sit up and take notice that the Parkhead boss seems to have no intentions of resigning his position from the club and will carry on and continue to believe that he has what it takes to turn the form around.

For me, it’s too late. If there was going to be a reaction from his team, it would have happened in the Sparta Prague fixture.  Celtic had a point to prove, they should have came out like a wounded animal and showed the Czech’s that they had their day in the sun. But they didn’t.  They then has the opportunity to put THAT right against Ross County and spectacularly failed. On those two fixtures alone, there is not a shred of evidence that the players, never mind the manager, can turn this around.
