Celtic have headed into the interval maintaining their aggregate lead over Rosenborg after a tense first half of action in Trondheim this evening.

The home side have seen plenty of the ball in the opening 45 minutes, looking fairly dangerous running at the Hoops defence without really creating many golden opportunities and failing to break tonight’s 0-0 deadlock.

The Hoops have looked nervy in possession despite their 3-1 advantage over the two legs, as Brendan Rodgers’ side look to keep things tight for as long as possible and hit the Norwegian champions on the counter-attack.

Much of Rosenborg’s joy is coming down their left hand side, isolating Cristian Gamboa and giving the Costa Rican full-back plenty of problems.

The defender did make one crucial tackle early on after the Norwegians found themselves with a one-on-one situation and has so far cleared most of the balls that have come his way in the box.

After an impressive performance at Celtic Park last week, the 28-year-old is causing concern for some supporters this evening.

Can the Bhoys continue to frustrate Rosenborg and progress into the third round of qualifying?
