Transfer activity isn’t always about how much you spend to determine the quality you bring into the club.
You only have to look at Ange Postecoglou’s dealings in the transfer market this season as proof of that.
With Matt O’Riley, Reo Hatate, Joe Hart, Josip Juranovic and others all been brought in for relatively modest fee’s, Ange’s eye for a bargain has never been in question.
I mean, £1m for Joe Hart is just outstanding.
Anyway, this summer should be an interesting window as the Celtic boss looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new season and Pete O’Rourke has tipped the Hoops to tie up young Christopher Scott from Bayern Munich.
The youngster hit the headlines last month as reports grew of Celtic’s interest in him and O’Rourke has renewed the speculation with these comments on GIVEMESPORT, “It’s an interesting link, this one.
“Obviously, he’s a young player, only 19. He would maybe fit the bill for Celtic as he’s out of contract in the summer, so he could arrive as a free agent.
“He’s been playing for Bayern Munich’s reserves, so we don’t know too much about him, but at 19, he seems like an exciting attacker.”
Scott is highly recommended in Germany and Munich are desperate to tie him down to a longer term contract but worries about the amount of first team action he has been given so far are delaying the nineteen year old’s decision to extend his stay in the Bundesliga.
