Si Ferry and the boys were discussing the Scottish Cup semi final when the former Celtic man took a huge swipe at, arguably, one of Celtics best players this season.
Speaking about Tom Rogic’s performance, Ferry said, “Rogic is your first presser. You’re down straight away. He doesn’t sprint to people!
“I don’t know why they didn’t put Rogic on Goldson to stop him.
“Pressing is a massive part of the game.
“How many tackles did Tom Rogic win?
“When you are playing in midfield you need to tackle people.”
And he is correct of course.
Rogic simply isn’t a runner. But that’s the point. That’s why McGregor and Hatate are in the centre of the midfield.
Their job is to close down and provide that midfield steel whilst Rogic is there pick open the opposition back door with his skill and nous.
It’s time to put this game to pasture.
