After Ange notched up another win in last nights 2-0 home tie against St Mirren, the panel on BBC Sportsound were discussing the bizarre post match interview that Ange had just given to Kenny MacIntyre when it was revealed that the Celtic boss was very supportive of young managers in Scotland behind the scenes.

James McPake was a guest on the show and he revealed that Ange was a source of great advice to him whilst he was in the dugout for the Dens Park side, “At the Dundee game he came out and says he was delighted that they got the win in the end because they controlled the game.

“At Hibs on Sunday when they played up there he says they were in complete control, all the all the game lacked was a goal.

“And he was very happy with the performance.

“And tonight again he’s just come out and says, ‘Teams are going to sit in, I was delighted with the way we played. And we won the game.’

“And he throws that  ‘mate’ word in all the time that just makes him sound or so calm, so relaxed.

“And as I went back to and alluded to at the start of the programme, he’s great to talk to and he gives great advice.

“And to be able to stand and be as calm as that, then if that’s  honestly the way he is, then credit to him, because I think it’s brilliant.”

And it’s these small touches of class that Postecoglou does behind the scenes that go unnoticed or unheard of by the wider support that are making the Hoops gaffer one of the most respected men in the game.
