Many Celtic supporters feel Brendan Rodgers’ decision to start winger Mikey Johnston tonight has been vindicated after watching the 19-year-old in action against FK Suduva this evening.

The youngster sent Celtic on their way just two minutes into the match with a delightful bit of skill and cross, which Olivier Ntcham nodded home to make it 1-0.

Sadly the defence is looking suspect again, conceding an incredibly soft goal from a set-piece to allow Suduva to equalise.

Both sides headed into the interval locked at 1-1.

Celtic have been the better team and have created a number of chances, so hopefully we can show our clinical edge in the second 45 minutes and put ourselves two or three up before the return leg at Celtic Park.

Johnston is winning the plaudits of supporters despite a frustrating half, with fans taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance so far…
