Celtic have dropped back down to third in the Scottish Premiership after losing away to Hibernian this afternoon.
The 2-0 loss to Neil Lennon’s side, coupled with wins for Rangers and Kilmarnock this week, means the Hoops have again relinquished top spot in the top-flight, although have games in hand on both clubs.
It was a frustrating day at Easter Road, with Hibs taking the lead just seconds into the match, before netting a sucker punch in the second half to put the result beyond doubt.
The Hoops huffed and puffed all afternoon but created little outside of a Lewis Morgan chance.
One small positive from the day was the substitute performance from Mikey Johnston. The youngster came on in the 75th minute for Odsonne Edouard and showed more intent than either the Frenchman or winger Scott Sinclair.
Many are now calling for him to start Wednesday night’s match against Motherwell, hoping to find the same kind of form from the player that was hiding in recent stand-out Ryan Christie.

Mikey Johnston needs to start games over Sinclair, he's leaps and bounds ahead of Sinclair nowadays #HIBCEL

There’s no way that Sinclair should start in front of Mikey Johnston on Wednesday. If Rodgers thinks differently then there’s something far wrong

Rodgers needs to take the brunt of the blame today. Ridiculous formation to start with never mind refuse to change with despite the score. Mikey Johnston just shown that he needs to start now

Mikey Johnston done more in 5 minutes than Edouard & Sinclair did for 60-70 minutes.
