Celtic fans appear to be in favour of making a move for former Manchester City and Barcelona star Yaya Toure, after he was linked with a move to the club this week.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, on Monday the midfielder appeared open the door to a potential move to Glasgow this month, refusing to rule out discussions with the Hoops.
It is the kind of transfer rumour that goes far during window silly season, but it may not be the worst short-term signing in the world as we go toe-to-toe with Rangers for major honours in the second half of the season.
He may now be 35 and coming off the back of a failed return to Olympiacos, but the Champions League winner seems to remain hungry to play at a decent level and could find footballing joy at Celtic Park.
His quality and experience is undeniable and could be a huge boost to Rodgers’ first-team squad.
