The fallout continues for Celtic as their 1-0 away defeat to Livingston still plays raw in the minds of the Hoops fans.

As the bones continue to be picked over on yesterday’s embarrassing loss, many questions are now being raised over Ange Postecoglou’s starting line up.

With yet another makeshift back four being set up against The Lions, Adam Montgomery dropped out and in came Boli Bolingoli in a surprising inclusion that took everyone off guard.

Not having played for the Hoops for over a year. Postecoglou threw him into a match in a stadium where Celtic, traditionally, always struggle to get a result.

Former Celtic midfielder, Davie Provan, was incredulous as he spoke on The Go Radio Football Show that the Belgian left back was in the squad and said that if he was in charge, Bolingoli would never have pulled on the famous Hoops again, “I’m amazed that he’s back in the fray. He would never had played for me again had I been the Celtic manager.

“Ange Postecoglou wasn’t there of course at the time.

“But you know given what he did and the problem he caused the club at the time. He wouldn’t have played again.

“And I do think Celtic are still trying to get shot of him but they’re short of left backs so why not play him if you’re having to pay him?”

Bolingoli certainly wasn’t the worst player on the park in yesterday’s defeat but his inclusion just magnifies the spotlight on the defeat and gives the fans and media another stick to beat Postecoglou with.

Amends will need to be made and quick, starting on Thursday night in the cup against Raith Rovers where nothing but a comprehensive win will do.
