It’s a goal that will go down in Celtic folklore.
With the clock ticking into 67 minutes during today’s match against Kilmarnock, number five defender Jozo Simunovic rose to meet a cross and tucked a header away, in the same manner the late, great Billy McNeill did time and again.
It proved to be the winning goal, but for many in attendance it meant much more than that, it was almost otherworldly.
Today was the day that Paradise paid tribute to Cesar and in return it seems the memory of the great man has inspired Simunovic to score a goal that could win the league title.
The 1-0 win was otherwise fairly forgettable, but most fans won’t care about that. Today was a special moment and a special afternoon and whether Simunovic leaves tomorrow or stays for another ten years, he’s already cemented a special place in our hearts.
Celtic fans were ecstatic, taking to Twitter to tonight to share their thoughts on his epic header…
Simunovic deserves all the success he’s getting right now. He’s been unbelievable the past few weeks and he’s just paid the most fitting tribute to one of the greatest ever Celtic players

Whatever the future holds, no matter how long or short a time his story overlaps with Celtic's, his name is there forever now. This is one of those days and that was one of those goals that will always be talked about. ????

Special mention for Jozo Simunovic. Came into the team and had done well. 4 games, 4 clean sheets. Fair enough the team hasn’t been great at all but he’s came in from the cold and done great. And he went and got the winner today. Maybe there’s a player in there after all.

A script written in heaven. Celtic's present number 5 Jozo Simunovic paid the perfect tribute to the club's greatest number 5 Billy McNeill with a Cesar-like header as the clocked ticked on to 67 minutes to take the Hoops within touching distance of 8-in-a-row.A day to remember????

This is what it’s all about, Simunovic number 5 scoring on the 67th minute. All hail Cesar.

An emotional day at CP and by the way, if don't believe in fate after the Jozo Šimunović goal then you never will. Talk about writing a script!!!
