Celtic moved back to the top of the Scottish Premiership today after a thumping 5-1 win over previous league leaders Kilmarnock at Celtic Park.
Steve Clarke’s side arrived in Glasgow having jumped ahead of the Hoops during the mid-week action, shocking everyone by taking the top spot as deep into the season as December.
Brendan Rodgers’ men delivered the statement win that fans were looking for, cruising to a 4-0 lead by half-time and seeing out the game professionally in the second half.
Many of Wednesday night’s poor performers against Motherwell showed much improvement throughout the 90 minutes, with some fans picking out the performance of Scott Sinclair as particularly good.
The Englishman has received heavy criticism for his performances in recent months but he showed he still has plenty to offer Rodgers’ starting eleven against the Ayrshire outfit.

Sinclair was brilliant today and desperately unlucky not to score. When hes out the team we lack that natural width and the team is better with him in it. His form hasn’t been as good as season 1 but goals in assists last year say he wasn’t a one season wonder
