Celtic are looking to continue in a European competition this week as the first leg against AIK takes place at Paradise tomorrow evening.

The Hoops would surely like to have the second leg away from home but that is the way it goes and now we must look to press home the advantage early doors and get them on the back foot.

Whilst we wait to see how we do, the Bhoys also need to still consider signing more players in the summer window with under two weeks to go until it shuts for business.

According to the Herald, we’re looking at Birger Meling at Rosenborg and, as per Vidar Riseth who has been quoted by the Evening Times, having a heritage of Norwegian players at the club could give us the edge in the race for him.

Riseth said:

“That is why Celtic have the best chance to beat the other clubs who are interested in signing Meling – because Norwegian football players know them and like them.”

Let’s see if he is right, with the likes of Kris Ajer already at the club and doing well.
