As Celtic look to build on their 4-2 win against Jablonec and set up a pay of tie with AZ Alkmaar to enter the group stages of the Europa League, Ange Postecoglou opened up on his post match anaylsis and told  the fans that there will be more additions to come.

Joe Hart and James McCarthy were the sixth and seventh signings of the transfer window and with Celtic still lacking the proper defensive cover, Postecoglou has admitted he hopes the additions will be incoming within the next week.

Speaking to BBC Sportsound after the match, Ange said,  “You know again I don’t like putting timelines on it because, you know, we’re, we’re working on things. There certainly will be additions.

“I still think we need to bring in some reinforcements. You know we still don’t have a lot of depth in certain areas and there’s some players here who are just playing every game because we don’t  have alternatives at the moment and at some point that that’s going to take its toll.

“Because we’ve got a lot of games particularly through August. So we still need to get players in and again the timelines are a bit difficult because of the situation we’re in, but hopefully next week we’ll have at least a couple more players in.”

With the Hoops being linked to various targets at centre back, left back AND right back over the last few weeks, the Celtic fans will be hopeful that enough business gets done before the window closes for the club to mount a serious challenge for the title.
