For me, this is a strange comment to make about Celtic’s apparent pursuit of Sead Haksabanovic.

With the club expected to seal the deal for the [Sky Sports] Montenegro international in the coming days, journalist Hugh Keevins raised questions on whether fans favourite, Liel Abada, could be sold on if the club do manage to get this signing over the line.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins said, “Suggestions that it [Haksabanovic deal] could be done within the next 24 hours and with that, comes the speculation that in comes Haksabanovic, out goes Abada if Celtic were to get a terrific amount of money offered for Abada.

“All speculation, but I do think Haksabanovic will be a Celtic player by Sunday or Monday.”

The last time I remember any interest being reported in Abada was way back in February [The Sun] when Crystal Palace were reportedly keeping tabs on the Israeli winger, but even in that piece, the journalist did say that the club had no plans to sell Abada just months into his Celtic career.

And since then? Has other interest been reported in Abada?

Nothing.

Not a thing.

And as far as I know, Abada is still very much part of Celtic’s plans moving forward.

So why just throw his name in there?

What was the point Hugh was trying to make?

Is Celtic expecting a huge offer for Abada?

And even if they are, in my opinion, Ange Postecoglou will never look to sell a player that has contributed 16 goals and 11 assists since his arrival to the club last summer.

Speculation like this simply does not help the club as we prepare for the Champions League next month.

With the transfer window almost close to an end take our quiz and test your knowledge on Celtic’s most expensive transfers.

People with actual connecting neutrons in their heads do not pay any attention to Keevins. What he has to say is not of any relevance. Why do you? He has no credibility.

I genuinely don’t understand why people don’t get this mate. I report anything to do with Celtic regardless of where it comes from, the source, the journalist. Its Celtic news mate.
