Before Celtic defeated Aberdeen 2-1 at Pittodrie just over a week ago, the pressure was mounting on Celtic gaffer Ange Postecoglou as two straight defeats in the Europa League were also compounded by a defeat at Livingston and a home draw with Dundee United.

Even although his Celtic squad was decimated by injuries, the media circus had already begun and there were murmurings from certain quarters that if results didn’t improve quickly, the Hoops boss’ coat will be on a shoogley peg.

Whilst the majority of the Celtic fans are being patient with Ange, sitting 6th place in the league just doesn’t cut it for some.

But there is one celebrity fan that believes Postecoglou has what it takes to lead Celtic to glory and that it could happen THIS season.

Celebrity Celtic fan, Rod Stewart has given his full backing to the Australian and also made a bold title claim, “Well look, he is trying to row a boat with a piece of rope at the moment.

“He came in right at the failing trying to get the ten and I think he is doing a good job.

“I am a believer. I believe in this squad. We are only six points behind and I think we can still do it.

“In fact I know we will still do it.”

“Yeah I do think they will win it.

“There are rumours [Steven] Gerrard is going to go. It might set the Blues’ chins a little low

“But we’ve still got three [Glasgow Derbies] to go.”

Many Celtic fans will be hoping Stewart’s prediction will come true and that the title will be heading back to Celtic Park this season.
