I don’t think this will come as a surprise to many after last weeks events.

But it does seem as though Chris Jullien’s future at the club may be in serious doubt.

After going public with his frustrations at lack of game time at Parkhead the Frenchman came under fire from some quarters of the fan base, including this site, the Frenchman did cut a lonely figure on Trophy Day as the players celebrated on the pitch.

But Chris Sutton has his doubts about the long term future of Jullien and on the Record Celtic podcast, asked journalist Daniel Caw if he felt the French defender has a future at Paradise, Caw wasn’t so sure, “I don’t think he does, personally, I don’t think he does.

“I think if Christopher Jullien had a future at Celtic, we would have seen him over the course.

“I know managers don’t like breaking up defences and if you’re gonna make changes to your team, you ex pros Chris, always say never change the goalkeeper and the two centre halves, try and keep your back four together, all the usual cliched stuff that you ex-footballers come out with.

“I just think we would have seen more of Christopher Jullien if he was gonna feature for Ange Postecoglou.

“I could be wrong. My gut feeling is I don’t see it. I just don’t see it.”

If he does go, Celtic will not receive anywhere near the fee they paid for him and with Jullien entering the last year of his contract, the Hoops could stand to make a significant loss should they decide to part ways in the summer.
