Celtic Word On The Tweet

‘I feel your pain’ – Celtic fans slam BBC journalist who couldn’t hide his bitterness on Sunday

|

Celtic fans have reacted angrily to BBC journalist Tom English after he criticised Neil Lennon for ‘over the top’ and ’embarrassing’ celebrations in the wake of Sunday’s 1-0 win over Dundee.

The Hoops netted an injury time winner at Dens Park to move ten points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership, with Neil Lennon running towards to Hoops end in scenes of jubilant celebration.

English apparently couldn’t handle that though, firing on Twitter to take aim at the Celtic boss with a series of ill-judged comments.

The water coolers must be bitter at the BBC right now given those comments begrudging a Celtic fan and manager enjoying a victory that puts us on the verge of an eighth title in a row, just a couple of weeks before a massive derby match.

Thankfully, Lennon’s passion for the Hoops is one of the things fans love most about him and they’re unlikely to be put off by the words of a grumpy journalist.

These supporters weren’t happy with English’s comments and took to Twitter to let him know all about it…
